Making a blockchain from scratch is no simple task. In fact, Bitcoin, Litecoin, ZCash, and Dash all share 90% of the same code for this very reason. We’re looking to show developers how easy it is to develop and create new custom blockchains and apps with our easy to use APIs. We want to show the full power of Lamden. For this technical workshop, we want to dive into Lamden’s unique smart contract application to develop distributed applications which includes blockchain. This technical session will show developers how to build their own blockchain from the ground up with Lamden’s extensive customizable tools written in Python. What is Lamden? Lamden is focused at being the first end-to-end development suite for blockchain applications. We do not focus specifically on smart contracts on a pre-existing system, but rather creating new and custom blockchains and decentralized systems that are not encompassed within the application space of smart contracts. Those who know a thing or two about smart contracts know that there is a limited subset of what they can do. The tools that Lamden is making supersede that subset and expose a development environment wherein any type of decentralized application can be developed. Lamden is an open source Python-based blockchain network and development suite. Our blockchain was written entirely in Python and will be released, for free, to the community near the end of the year. Lamden's goal is to put easy to use blockchain tools in the hands of developers. We’re looking to showcase our emerging technology for a technical workshop at this year’s Developer Week's Conference.
